Description

Indulge in the savory-sweet perfection of these Smoked Brisket & Beer Cheese Pretzel Bombs! Tender smoked brisket and creamy beer cheese are encased in soft, golden-brown pretzel dough for an irresistible appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1 package active dry yeast

– 1 cup warm water

– 2 tablespoons brown sugar

– 4 ounces smoked brisket, shredded or chopped

– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

– 1/2 cup beer

– 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

1. – In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and yeast. Add the warm water and brown sugar, and knead the dough until it forms a smooth, elastic ball.

2. – Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.

3. – In a medium saucepan, heat the beer and cheese over low heat, stirring constantly, until the cheese is melted and the mixture is smooth.

4. – Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball.

5. – Use your thumb to make an indentation in the center of each ball, then fill with a spoonful of the beer cheese mixture and a bit of the shredded brisket.

6. – Pinch the dough around the filling to seal, then place the pretzel bombs on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

7. – Preheat the oven to 400°F. Brush the pretzel bombs with the melted butter.

8. – Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the pretzel dough is golden brown.

9. – Serve the Smoked Brisket & Beer Cheese Pretzel Bombs warm, with any remaining beer cheese mixture for dipping.

Notes

For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the beer cheese mixture. You can also experiment with different cheese varieties, such as pepper jack or Gruyère.
