Description

Enjoy the perfect balance of savory and tangy flavors with this quick and easy Sourdough Pickle Flatbread. Freshly baked sourdough flatbread is topped with melty cheese and tangy pickles for a life-changing snack or side dish.

Ingredients

– 1 cup sourdough starter

– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1/2 cup warm water

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

– 1/2 cup chopped dill pickles

Instructions

1. – In a large bowl, combine the sourdough starter, flour, warm water, and salt. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.

2. – Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

3. – Roll or stretch the dough into a thin, rectangular flatbread shape.

4. – Transfer the flatbread to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

5. – Top the flatbread with the shredded mozzarella cheese and chopped dill pickles.

6. – Bake at 400°F for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.

7. – Slice and serve warm.

Notes

For a crispier crust, let the dough rest for 30 minutes before stretching and topping. Experiment with different types of cheese or pickles to find your favorite flavor combination.
