Indulge in the rich, buttery goodness of a classic Southern Pecan Pie. This easy homemade recipe features a flaky pie crust filled with a gooey, caramelized pecan filling that’s sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Ingredients

– 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust

– 3 large eggs

– 1 cup light or dark corn syrup

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 2 cups pecan halves

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C).

2. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and salt until well combined.

3. 3. Stir in the pecan halves and pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust.

4. 4. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set. The edges should be golden brown.

5. 5. Allow the pie to cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark corn syrup instead of light. You can also add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the filling for an extra layer of warmth. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
