Description

Indulge in the irresistible combination of spaghetti, garlic, and cheesy bread bowls for a comforting and satisfying dinner that’s ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

– 8 oz spaghetti

– 2 tbsp olive oil

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes

– 1 tsp dried oregano

– 1/2 tsp salt

– 1/4 tsp black pepper

– 4 small sourdough bread bowls

– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

– 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.

5. Add the cooked spaghetti to the tomato sauce and toss to combine.

6. Cut the tops off the bread bowls and hollow out the insides, leaving about a 1/2-inch shell.

7. Spoon the spaghetti mixture into the bread bowls, then top with the shredded mozzarella cheese.

8. Place the stuffed bread bowls on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

9. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a more indulgent version, you can add cooked Italian sausage or ground beef to the spaghetti mixture. The bread bowls can also be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
