Description

Spaghetti with Mozzarella Eyeballs is a delightfully spooky and delicious pasta dish that’s perfect for Halloween. Tender spaghetti noodles are tossed with a savory tomato sauce and topped with mozzarella “eyeballs” made by stuffing black olives into fresh mozzarella balls. This easy recipe comes together in just 10 minutes, making it a quick and creepy-cute addition to any Halloween menu.

Ingredients

– 12 ounces spaghetti noodles

– 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce

– 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into 1-inch balls

– 24 black olive slices

– 2 tablespoons olive oil

– 1 teaspoon dried basil

– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the cooked spaghetti and marinara sauce. Toss to coat the noodles evenly.

3. For the “eyeballs”, gently press a black olive slice into the center of each mozzarella ball to create the “pupil”.

4. Arrange the spaghetti on a serving platter and top with the mozzarella eyeballs. Sprinkle with dried basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

5. Serve immediately and enjoy this spooky and delicious Halloween pasta dish!

Notes

  1. – Use pre-shredded mozzarella cheese if you prefer a quicker assembly.
  2. – For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or Italian seasoning.
  3. – Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
