Description
This Strawberry Jello Poke Cake is a moist, flavorful, and easy-to-make dessert that’s sure to delight your taste buds. The combination of a fluffy vanilla cake base and a sweet strawberry jello topping creates a truly irresistible treat.
Ingredients
– 1 box white cake mix
– 1 cup water
– 1/2 cup vegetable oil
– 3 eggs
– 1 (3 oz) package strawberry jello
– 1 cup boiling water
– 1 (16 oz) container frozen strawberries, thawed
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
2. In a large bowl, combine the white cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until well blended.
3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
4. Remove the cake from the oven and use the end of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the top of the warm cake.
5. In a medium bowl, dissolve the strawberry jello in the boiling water. Stir in the thawed strawberries.
6. Slowly pour the strawberry jello mixture over the top of the cake, ensuring it fills the holes.
7. Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours or until the jello is set.
8. Serve chilled and enjoy!
Notes
This Strawberry Jello Poke Cake can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. The jello topping can also be made with other fruit flavors, such as raspberry or cherry, for a different twist on the classic.
