Description

Indulge in this Stuffing Meatloaf, a classic comfort food dish that combines tender ground beef with savory stuffing and a rich, glossy glaze. This easy-to-make recipe is perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

– 1 lb ground beef

– 1 cup bread cubes

– 1 onion, diced

– 2 stalks celery, diced

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tsp dried thyme

– 1 tsp dried sage

– 1/2 tsp salt

– 1/4 tsp black pepper

– 1/2 cup beef broth

– 1/4 cup ketchup

– 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. 2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread cubes, onion, celery, garlic, thyme, sage, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated.

3. 3. Press half of the beef mixture into a greased loaf pan, creating a well in the center.

4. 4. In a small bowl, whisk together the beef broth, ketchup, and brown sugar. Pour this mixture into the well in the meatloaf.

5. 5. Top with the remaining beef mixture, pressing down gently to seal the edges.

6. 6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

7. 7. Remove from the oven and let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a twist, try adding shredded cheese or diced vegetables to the stuffing layer. You can also make this recipe in advance and freeze it for easy weeknight meals.
