Ingredients
– 1 pound beef tenderloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
– 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
– 3 garlic cloves, minced
– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels and season with 1/2 teaspoon of the salt and 1/4 teaspoon of the black pepper.
2. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of the butter over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes and sear on all sides until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side. Transfer the seared steak to a plate and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and season with the remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Cook the shrimp, stirring occasionally, until they are pink and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes.
4. Return the seared steak cubes to the skillet and add the minced garlic. Cook, stirring constantly, until the garlic is fragrant, about 1 minute.
5. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Serve the Surf and Turf Steak Bites immediately, with the garlic butter sauce spooned over the top.
Notes
For best results, use high-quality beef tenderloin and large shrimp. The garlic butter can be made in advance and refrigerated until ready to use. Serve the Surf and Turf Steak Bites as an appetizer or pair them with a side salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
