Description

Prepare the most mouthwatering Thanksgiving turkey with this quick and easy recipe. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and golden-brown, this classic dish is sure to be the star of your holiday feast.

Ingredients

– 1 (12-15 lb) whole turkey, thawed

– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh thyme

– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary

– 1 tablespoon garlic powder

– 1 tablespoon onion powder

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. 2. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, thyme, rosemary, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

3. 3. Gently loosen the skin of the turkey and spread the seasoned butter mixture under the skin, covering the entire turkey.

4. 4. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and roast for 2-2.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) in the thickest part of the breast.

5. 5. Baste the turkey with the pan juices every 30 minutes during roasting.

6. 6. Allow the turkey to rest for 15-20 minutes before carving and serving.

Notes

For a crispier skin, you can also rub the outside of the turkey with a little olive oil or melted butter before seasoning. Adjust the cooking time as needed, depending on the size of your turkey.
