Description

Indulge in the rich, earthy flavors of this Truffle Mushroom & Gruyere dish, a comforting and decadent tart or flatbread perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

– 1 sheet puff pastry or pizza dough

– 8 ounces sliced cremini mushrooms

– 2 tablespoons truffle oil

– 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese

– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh thyme

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Roll out the puff pastry or pizza dough into a rectangular shape and place on a baking sheet.

3. In a large skillet, sauté the mushrooms in the truffle oil over medium-high heat until browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes.

4. Spread the sautéed mushrooms evenly over the dough, leaving a small border.

5. Sprinkle the Gruyere cheese and chopped thyme over the mushrooms.

6. Season with salt and pepper.

7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

8. Let cool for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

For a richer flavor, you can use a combination of Gruyere and Parmesan cheese. You can also add a drizzle of truffle oil over the top before serving.
