Description

Indulge in the delicate, pillowy texture and juicy peach flavor of homemade Whole Peach Mochi – a quick and easy Japanese dessert that’s perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth.

Ingredients

– 1 cup mochi rice flour

– 1/4 cup granulated sugar

– 1/4 cup water

– 2 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced

Instructions

1. 1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the mochi rice flour and sugar. Add the water and stir until a sticky dough forms.

2. 2. Microwave the dough for 1 minute, then stir. Repeat this process 2-3 times until the dough is smooth and pliable.

3. 3. Dust a clean work surface with cornstarch or potato starch. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each into a ball.

4. 4. Flatten each dough ball and place a peach slice in the center. Gently wrap the dough around the peach, sealing the edges to enclose the filling.

5. 5. Serve the whole peach mochi immediately or chill in the refrigerator until ready to enjoy.

Notes

For best texture, serve the mochi at room temperature. You can also experiment with different fruit fillings, such as strawberries or mango.
