Description

Indulge in the ultimate cozy and comforting treat with these homemade Winter Coffee Brioche Buns. Soft, buttery, and infused with the rich aroma of coffee, these buns are perfect for chilly days and cozy moments.

Ingredients

– 4 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 tablespoon active dry yeast

– 1/2 cup granulated sugar

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 cup warm milk

– 2 large eggs

– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 2 tablespoons instant coffee powder

Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.

2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, eggs, and instant coffee powder.

3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a shaggy dough forms.

4. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

5. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

6. Punch down the dough to release the air bubbles, then divide it into 12 equal pieces.

7. Shape each piece into a smooth ball and place them in a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.

8. Cover the pan and let the buns rise for 30 minutes.

9. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

10. Bake the buns for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.

11. Serve the Winter Coffee Brioche Buns warm, with a dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of caramel, if desired.

Notes

For a more intense coffee flavor, you can increase the amount of instant coffee powder to 3 tablespoons. These buns can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
