Description
Tender, juicy chicken breasts seared and then baked in a sweet and tangy balsamic glaze, all cooked in a single pan for an easy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
– 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
– 2 tablespoons brown sugar
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon dried thyme
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
3. Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
4. In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, and thyme.
5. Pour the balsamic glaze over the seared chicken in the skillet.
6. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15-18 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through.
7. Remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes.
8. Serve the Balsamic Glazed One Pan Chicken immediately, drizzling any extra sauce from the pan over the top.
Notes
– For extra flavor, you can marinate the chicken in the balsamic glaze for 30 minutes before cooking.
– Serve the chicken with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
