Description

Indulge in the rich, herb-infused flavors of this Butter-Basted Garlic Herb Skillet Steak – a quick and easy main dish that’s perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

– 1 pound beef sirloin steak, about 1-inch thick

– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley

– 1 tablespoon fresh chopped thyme

– 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt

– 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

1. Pat the steak dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.

2. In a large cast-iron or heavy skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat.

3. Add the steak and sear for 4-5 minutes per side, until a nice crust forms.

4. Reduce heat to medium-low and add the garlic, parsley, and thyme. Baste the steak continuously with the butter-herb mixture for 2-3 minutes.

5. Remove the steak from the heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For best results, use a thick-cut, high-quality steak. The butter-basting adds incredible flavor and juiciness. Serve with roasted potatoes or a fresh salad.
