Description
Satisfy your sweet tooth with these irresistible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Twists. Made with a buttery, soft cookie dough and studded with melted chocolate chips, these twists are a delightful twist on the classic chocolate chip cookie.
Ingredients
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 3/4 cup granulated sugar
– 3/4 cup light brown sugar
– 2 large eggs
– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
– 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and both sugars until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
5. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions. Roll each portion into a 12-inch rope, then twist the rope to form a spiral shape.
6. Place the twisted dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are still slightly soft.
8. Allow the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Twists to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a more pronounced cookie dough flavor, you can add an additional 1/4 cup of light brown sugar to the dough. For a crunchier texture, bake the twists for an additional 2-3 minutes.
