Description
Buttery, flaky crescent rolls filled with a sweet-tart cranberry and creamy cream cheese mixture – the ultimate holiday or anytime appetizer!
Ingredients
– 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
– 1/4 cup granulated sugar
– 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries, chopped
– 1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
Instructions
1. – Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. – In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
3. – Fold in the chopped cranberries.
4. – Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into 8 triangles.
5. – Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the cranberry cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
6. – Roll up the triangles, starting from the wide end and rolling toward the point.
7. – Place the filled crescent rolls, seam-side down, on the prepared baking sheet.
8. – Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the crescents are golden brown.
9. – Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
– For a more festive look, brush the tops of the baked crescent bites with a bit of melted butter and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
– These can be made ahead and refrigerated or frozen until ready to bake.
