Description

Crispy, golden, and packed with fresh veggies, these 5-minute Gold Bar Fried Spring Rolls are the perfect easy appetizer for any occasion. Quickly fried to perfection, they’re sure to be a hit with your guests.

Ingredients

– 8 ounces shredded cabbage

– 1 cup shredded carrots

– 1/2 cup diced green onions

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 tablespoon soy sauce

– 1 teaspoon sesame oil

– 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

– 20 spring roll wrappers

– Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, combine the cabbage, carrots, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Mix well.

2. Place a spring roll wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape. Place 2-3 tablespoons of the vegetable filling near the bottom third of the wrapper.

3. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll up tightly into a cylinder.

4. In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat 2 inches of vegetable oil to 350°F. Carefully add the spring rolls and fry for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.

5. Transfer the fried spring rolls to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra crispiness, double fry the spring rolls by frying them for 1 minute, then letting them cool for 5 minutes before frying again for 2-3 minutes. This helps the wrappers become extra crispy and golden.
