Ingredients
– 1 pound flank steak
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon lime juice
– 1 tablespoon brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon sesame oil
– 1 garlic clove, minced
– 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
– 8 cups mixed greens
– 1 cup sliced cucumber
– 1 cup shredded carrots
– 1/2 cup thinly sliced red bell pepper
– 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh mint
– Dressing:
– 1/4 cup lime juice
– 2 tablespoons fish sauce
– 1 tablespoon honey
– 1 teaspoon sesame oil
– 1 garlic clove, minced
Instructions
1. In a shallow dish, combine the soy sauce, 1 tablespoon lime juice, brown sugar, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Add the steak and turn to coat. Cover and marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
2. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill the steak for 3-5 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Transfer the steak to a cutting board and let it rest for 5 minutes.
3. In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, cucumber, carrots, bell pepper, red onion, cilantro, and mint.
4. In a small bowl, whisk together the dressing ingredients.
5. Slice the steak against the grain and add it to the salad. Drizzle the dressing over the top and toss to coat.
6. Serve the Grilled Thai Steak Salad immediately.
Notes
This salad is also delicious with grilled chicken or shrimp instead of steak. For a heartier meal, serve it with warm, crusty bread.
