Description

This Jerk Chicken recipe brings the bold flavors of the Caribbean right to your kitchen. Marinated in a spicy blend of herbs and spices, this dish is perfect for grilling or roasting. Enjoy the juicy tenderness with every bite!

Ingredients

– 4 bone-in chicken thighs

– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

– 2 teaspoons allspice

– 1 teaspoon thyme

– 1 teaspoon cinnamon

– 1 teaspoon nutmeg

– 1 tablespoon sugar

– 2 teaspoons salt

– 1 teaspoon black pepper

– 1 jalapeño, chopped

– 4 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 inch ginger, grated

– Juice of 1 lime

– 1/4 cup green onions, chopped

Instructions

1. In a bowl, combine all spices, sugar, salt, black pepper, jalapeño, garlic, ginger, lime juice, and green onions to create the marinade.

2. Rub the marinade all over the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well coated.

3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for better flavor.

4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

5. Place the marinated chicken on the grill and cook for 30-35 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

6. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For an extra kick, add more jalapeño to the marinade. You can also grill vegetables alongside the chicken for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
