Description
These juicy, flavorful Korean BBQ Chicken Skewers are the ultimate grilling recipe for summer. Coated in a sweet and savory marinade, the chicken is perfectly charred and tender.
Ingredients
– 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
– 1/4 cup gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
– 2 tbsp soy sauce
– 2 tbsp brown sugar
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tsp sesame oil
– 1/4 cup sliced scallions
– 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine the gochujang, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and sesame oil. Add the chicken cubes and toss to coat evenly.
2. Thread the marinated chicken onto metal or wooden skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
3. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Grill the chicken skewers for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
4. Transfer the grilled skewers to a serving platter. Garnish with sliced scallions and sesame seeds.
5. Serve the Korean BBQ Chicken Skewers warm, with a dipping sauce on the side if desired.
Notes
For best results, marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes or up to 8 hours in the refrigerator. Wooden skewers can be soaked in water for 30 minutes before using to prevent burning.
