Description

Warm up with this comforting and authentic Korean Winter Soup, featuring a rich, savory broth, tender meat, and nourishing vegetables. This easy-to-make dish is the perfect way to enjoy the flavors of Korean cuisine on a chilly day.

Ingredients

– 1 pound beef brisket, thinly sliced

– 1 onion, diced

– 3 carrots, peeled and sliced

– 2 cups thinly sliced napa cabbage

– 4 cups beef or chicken broth

– 2 tablespoons soy sauce

– 1 tablespoon ginger, minced

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 teaspoon sesame oil

– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. In a large pot, bring the broth to a boil over high heat.

2. Add the beef, onions, carrots, and cabbage to the pot. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the beef is tender and the vegetables are soft.

3. Stir in the soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Serve the Korean Winter Soup hot, garnished with additional scallions or chili flakes if desired.

Notes

For a heartier meal, serve the soup over steamed rice. You can also add different vegetables, such as mushrooms or bok choy, to customize the dish to your liking.
