Description

Enjoy a taste of Hogwarts with Mrs. Weasley’s iconic Meat Pie – a comforting, homemade classic that’s ready in just 1 hour! This savory, flaky-crusted pie is filled with seasoned ground beef, tender vegetables, and plenty of rich, traditional flavors.

Ingredients

– 1 lb ground beef

– 1 onion, diced

– 2 carrots, peeled and diced

– 1 cup frozen peas

– 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

– 1 tsp dried thyme

– 1 tsp dried rosemary

– Salt and pepper to taste

– 1 box refrigerated pie crust (2 crusts)

Instructions

1. – Preheat oven to 400°F.

2. – In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned and crumbled, 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

3. – Add the onions and carrots to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes, until softened.

4. – Stir in the peas, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

5. – Unroll one pie crust and place in a 9-inch pie plate. Pour the meat filling into the crust.

6. – Unroll the second pie crust and place it over the filling. Crimp the edges to seal and cut slits in the top to vent.

7. – Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the crust is golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a flakier crust, brush the top with an egg wash before baking. You can also add other diced vegetables like potatoes or celery to the filling. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
