Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 teaspoon baking soda

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

– 1 cup granulated sugar

– 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

– 1 large egg

– 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

– Zest of 1 large orange

– 1/4 cup fresh orange juice

– 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.

3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

4. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, orange zest, and orange juice until combined.

5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined, then fold in the white chocolate chips.

6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.

7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

8. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a stronger orange flavor, add more zest or a splash of orange extract. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
