Description

Indulge in the delightful combination of sweet strawberries, tangy balsamic, and savory herbs in this quick and easy Strawberry Balsamic Pasta dish. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or summer gathering.

Ingredients

8 ounces fusilli or penne pasta

1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large skillet, combine the sliced strawberries, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and garlic. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes until the strawberries are slightly softened and the sauce thickens.

3. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the strawberry balsamic sauce.

4. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped basil and parmesan cheese. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

5. Serve the Strawberry Balsamic Pasta warm, garnished with additional basil and parmesan if desired.

Notes

For a creamier texture, you can add a splash of heavy cream or mascarpone cheese to the sauce. This dish can also be served chilled for a refreshing summer pasta salad.
