Ingredients
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup powdered sugar
– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
– 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
– Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Add the vanilla extract and salt, mixing until well combined.
4. Gradually add the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
5. Gently fold in the diced strawberries.
6. Roll the dough into balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, flattening them slightly.
7. Sprinkle the tops with granulated sugar.
8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
10. Dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.
