Description

Tomato Twiddle is a delightful and quick-to-prepare dip that combines the natural sweetness of ripe tomatoes with fragrant basil and a touch of garlic. This versatile spread is perfect for snacking, serving as an appetizer, or even topping toasted bread.


Ingredients

– 2 pounds ripe tomatoes, diced

– 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 2 tablespoons olive oil

– 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

1. In a medium bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, minced garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper.

2. Gently mix all the ingredients until well combined.

3. Serve the Tomato Twiddle immediately as a dip or spread, or refrigerate for up to 3 days.

Notes

For a creamier consistency, you can use a food processor to lightly pulse the ingredients together. Adjust seasoning to taste, adding more salt, pepper, or vinegar as desired. Tomato Twiddle also makes a delicious topping for toasted bread, crackers, or crudités.
