Ingredients
– 2 inches fresh turmeric root, peeled and grated
– 1 inch fresh ginger root, peeled and grated
– 1 lemon, juiced
– 1 tablespoon honey
– Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, grate the turmeric and ginger roots using a fine grater or microplane.
2. Juice the lemon and add the juice to the grated turmeric and ginger.
3. Stir in the honey and a pinch of black pepper until well combined.
4. Transfer the mixture to a high-speed blender or juicer and blend until smooth and creamy.
5. Pour the Turmeric Ginger ‘Jolt’ Shot into a small glass and enjoy immediately.
Notes
For an extra immune boost, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a splash of apple cider vinegar. This shot can also be made in larger batches and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
