Description

Garlic Miso Chicken is a quick and comforting chicken dish that features a savory, umami-packed glaze made with garlic, miso paste, soy sauce, and honey. This 30-minute meal is perfect for busy weeknights and sure to delight the whole family.

Ingredients

– 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 2 tablespoons white miso paste

– 2 tablespoons soy sauce

– 1 tablespoon honey

– 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

– 1 teaspoon sesame oil

– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

– 2 green onions, sliced

– Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, whisk together the garlic, miso paste, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to make the glaze.

2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

3. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown.

4. Pour the garlic-miso glaze over the chicken and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, turning the chicken to coat it evenly.

5. Remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.

6. Slice the chicken and serve it warm, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

– For a spicier version, add a teaspoon of chili oil or red pepper flakes to the glaze.

– Serve the Garlic Miso Chicken with steamed rice and sautéed vegetables for a complete meal.

– The chicken can be marinated in the glaze for up to 30 minutes before cooking for even more flavor.
