Description

These Smoked Spare Ribs are a crowd favorite, bursting with smoky flavor and incredibly tender. Perfect for any barbecue or family gathering!

Ingredients

2 racks of pork spare ribs

1 tablespoon paprika

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 cup apple juice

1 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).

2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.

3. In a bowl, mix together the paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

4. Rub the spice mixture generously over both sides of the ribs.

5. Place the ribs in the smoker, bone side down, and smoke for about 4 hours.

6. After 2 hours, spritz the ribs with apple juice every 30 minutes to keep them moist.

7. In the last hour of smoking, brush the ribs with barbecue sauce.

8. Remove from the smoker and let rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can marinate the ribs overnight. Adjust the spice levels according to your taste. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
