Description

Southern Deviled Eggs are a classic appetizer that combines creamy yolk filling with tangy flavors. Perfect for picnics, parties, and family gatherings, these delicious bites are sure to impress!


Ingredients

6 large eggs

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Paprika for garnish

Fresh chives, chopped for garnish


Instructions

1. Hard boil the eggs by placing them in a pot, covering with water, and boiling for 10 minutes.

2. Remove from heat, let sit for 5 minutes, then transfer eggs to an ice bath to cool.

3. Once cool, peel the eggs and cut them in half lengthwise.

4. Remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl.

5. Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.

6. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.

7. Garnish with paprika and chopped chives.

8. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

For a spicy twist, add a dash of hot sauce to the yolk mixture. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
